Starburst: the game explained

A compact feature set

The star wild can appear on reels two, three and four, expand to fill its reel and trigger a respin. Additional expanding wilds can extend the sequence. The result is a recognisable feature without a separate scatter-triggered free-spins game in the original version.

Both-way paylines

The ten paylines can pay matching combinations from either side under the game rules. This is still a line game: a symbol arrangement must satisfy an active pattern. More possible directions do not tell you what the next spin will return.

Check the exact Starburst version

NetEnt’s current original-title page lists 96.08% RTP. Starburst XXXtreme and Starburst Galaxy are separate games, with different features and maths. A free-spin promotion that names Starburst also has separate casino terms governing the reward and any resulting winnings.

RTP, stakes and availability

RTP describes a theoretical long-run return across many bets. It does not predict your session or guarantee a refund. Read the total stake in the currency of your account, and check the actual game’s rules before relying on a figure from another version.

A game guide here does not mean the title is available at every South African casino. Casino promotional spins and bonus wagering are separate from the slot’s own features. Read how promotional free spins work. Set a time and money limit, and do not increase a bet to recover losses.
